Crazy Horse Monument

Under construction since the late 1940s. Crazy Horse Monument is a testament to the great indian leaders and a reminder of the sacrifices they have made.

This monument was undertaken by one of the assistants who worked on Mt Rushmore. After that work was completed he was approached to begin a monument to Crazy Horse. The craftsman made this project his life's work and his children continued it after his passing.

When completed the monument will be significantly larger than Mt Rushmore and the story of the construction is inspiring.

They don't accept federal monies for the project and the work is completely funded by the park fees.
