A visit to Winterset

Since we wanted to tour the John Wayne birthplace museum and finding that it was an hour before closing when we arrived we decided to end our travels early and light for the night.

We found a wonderful campground operated by the city. Highly recommend this park. They only have 30 sites and the full hookups are back-in and the water is a shared spigot but for $18 a night you can't beat it with a stick.

Next to the park was a corn field. At dusk some deer came out to eat and KD Dave and Lori sat and watched them for nearly 45 minutes.
