Unscheduled Maintenance

About 30 miles further toward Grand Teton National Park from Sacajawea's grave Kenny decided he was hungry for lunch. Since he was so sick he had taken to the bed the day before we felt like this was a good sign of his recovery.

Just as we made the turn into Diversion Dam Rest Area the engine on the truck stopped. God has blessed Kenny with the knowledge and skills to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues. He also gave Kenny the foresight to bring any potential spare parts he might need. With the help of some friends back home he was able to trace the trouble codes.

Since he thought he might need some additional parts he sent the motor home and the 5th wheel ahead to Jackson. They could set up for the night there and pick up his parts in the morning.

Even though Kenny had been very sick the night before he went to work installing a new lift pump he brought with him. GL Dave was gloating over tee broken down Dodge and was happy to have a picture with him pointing to it. Linda and OWM Dave had a broken down Dodge on their scavenger list.

The Dodge team spent the night at the rest area while Kenny worked on the truck. In the evening the maintenance team came and allowed us to fill up with some water for the evening which was a true blessing because after working on the truck Kenny really needed a shower.

At the rest stop there were pronghorns and some rabbits and small rodents.
