Sioux City

Sergeant Floyd was the only man to die on the Lewis and Clark expeditions. He died of an apparent burst appendix. We were looking for this monument to him when we almost ran into a traffic jam quite literally. Cars stopped short ahead of our lead rig and it seemed certain we would collide.

I think the tires slid on the pavement so hard they are no longer round. Fortunately, the crash was avoided and the contents of the trailer while rearranged were not significantly damaged.
